Student: Course Home

Students land on this page when they touch one of the courses (subjects) on their Dashboard.

There are four distinct areas, each accessible by their icons on the top

  1. Home
  2. Alerts
  3. Notes
  4. Tests

Pre-reqs:

  1. User should be logged in.

Configurations that impact this screen:

Description of fields:

The section below the tabs displays the information about the faculty taking this course. A photograph of the faculty, along with Name, Title and email if available for the faculty are displayed here.

Source of the information is as follows:

Name: Name as defined in Manage Staff Title: This is a combination of Title and Department as defined in Manage Staff (Title of Dept) email: email as defined in Manage Staff

There are 3 sections below the faculty information. They are:

  1. Class Completion
  2. Internal Performance
  3. Attendance

The horizontal scaled bar graphs in each section displays the progress of that area. Each of them are also touch enabled and display detailed information for the summary graph presented on this screen.

Class Completion

Internal Performance Till Date

Attendance Till Date The bar graph represents the % of classes the student has attended out of the total conducted classes for this subject/section.

A touch on this bar takes the student to a detailed view of current month calendar with the absent dates highlighted. The subject and the attendance % are displayed at the top of the calendar as in the image to the right.

The student can go back to the Course Home using the slide right option, or the back button on the top right corner.

The icons on the bottom of the screen take the user to view Alerts (bottom left) and Schedule (bottom right)

FAQs:

  1. I have logged in but there is nothing to see. Why?
    There can be a few reasons.
    1. It could be that your internet connection is slow or the server on our end is slow in responding, in which case the dashboard should load in a few seconds.
    2. Another reason could be that you are not in an active term or
    3. your term is not assigned any courses yet or
    4. or you have not registered for courses yet.
  2. I have registered for a course, but it is not displayed on the dashboard. Why?
  3. I do not see the topics taught in the last class (or is it the next class?). Why?
  4. I do not see the number of classes planned. Why?
  5. I do not see the number of classes conducted. Why?
  6. The complete subject name is not displayed on the folder. Why?

Open Items:

  1. What happens if there are 2 faculty teaching the same subject for this student?
