Information is presented in a table with the following columns

  1. Department
  2. Total students
  3. Registered student count
  4. Yet to register
  5. % of registered students

Count of students in the table is clickable to see the list of students that make up the count.

Explanation of Report:

1. Total students: This number represents the active students in active batches. The student has to be in active status, and the batch has to be active for the student to be included on this count. The total student count will also include the active students from the preceding batch year as well. Note that this number cannot be compared with the number of students in the Total Student Count Report

2. Registered student count: This number represents the total number of students that have registered for courses for a given School/Department/Program/Section. Students can register for a course only upon successful payment of the program fee. A student is considered as registered, if they have registered for at least one course and received approval for their registration. Some exceptions to be taken into account are:

  • Students that transfer to another department or program after registration, for example transfer within department (Civil Engineering to CS Engineering), or transfer to another school (B.A to MTech). In this situation, since the course work may be different in the new department/program, course registrations of the student from the earlier department will be deleted. The student will be required to register for courses in the new department/program.
  • In cases where students with scholarships experience a delay in their payment, their registration can still be approved through No Due Approval screen.
  • Students that transfer to another section (within the same department and program), for example from A to B section. Typically, both sections A and B would offer the same courses. Where the list of courses offered are the same in both old and new sections, registration data will be transferred to the new section. Where the list of courses offered is not the same, then students will be required to register for courses again.
  • Suspended students are included in this report counts since suspension is considered a temporary status (typically for day or week) assigned to student as a punishment for misdemeanours.

3. Yet to register: This is the number of students that are active in the section, but have not registered for at least one course yet. In addition, this screen offers the functionality to send SMS as a reminder for these students.

The search results includes the total no. of students that have completed the registration process on a given day per section.

This screen allows the user to print or download the Student List in excel and pdf format.
